“On behalf of the Connecticut Charter Schools Association, I am happy to congratulate Dr. Miguel A. Cardona on his confirmation as United States Secretary of Education. I would especially like to thank Secretary Cardona for voicing his public support of both school choice and Stamford Charter School for Excellence, one of our state’s highest-performing schools, during his confirmation hearing.
In his role as Connecticut’s Commissioner of Education, Secretary Cardona displayed a strong commitment to removing barriers to access to high-quality public school options for all students, particularly those from low-income and minority communities.
I look forward to our continued work with Secretary Cardona as he leads us towards a more equitable education system for all students in his new role, ” said Ruben Felipe, Executive Director of the Connecticut Charter Schools Association.
